Meredy Dambacher, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Sonora Studios, is a business and brand strategist with an extensive background in leading creative vision, brand ideation, and strategy. For nearly 20 years, she has worked with a wide array of clients, led in-house creative teams, and delivered exceptional work. Meredy’s distinctive design approach, combined with her energetic and extreme detail-oriented perspective, has helped launch countless successful campaigns globally.
Meredy curates a wealth of intricacies into every brand and campaign and is continuously inspired by architecture, history, interior design, editorial fashion, books, animals, the mountains, and landscapes around the world. Sonora has been a channel for her to develop thought-provoking concepts and expressive storytelling that are signature to her work. Meredy believes that being authentic and creating something original yet powerful, is imperative in order for clients to stand out from their competition.
Meredy’s most notable projects are in the healthcare, real estate, legal, philanthropic, non-profit, hospitality, art, automotive, and music sectors, many for high-profile private clients. She has helped her clients win numerous awards and be featured in publications such as San Diego Magazine, San Diego Business Journal, Los Angeles/San Francisco Daily Journal, The Recorder, The National Law Journal, and New York Law Journal.
Meredy received her academic training in English, Business, Graphic Design, Marketing, and Communications and graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her professional affiliations include the American Marketing Association (AMA), Association of Network Marketing Professionals (ANMP), Sales and Marketing Executives International (SMEI), eMarketing Association, Social Media Association (SMA), and the Social Media Club.
Prior to founding Sonora Studios, Meredy worked as a freelance designer creating brands and designing digital and print media, while implementing marketing strategies for various clients. She is also the creative director for events and business development at a prominent, national law firm.
A California native, Meredy grew up in the mountains in Sonora, California, a small town known as the “Queen of the Southern Mines,” in the Gold Country near Yosemite. She currently resides in San Diego, California. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dogs; stamping her passport and traveling; music; and any outdoor activity including running, hiking, and skiing.
